Michael J. Bedwell, 42, of Porterfield, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in his sleep from a massive heart attack.
Born Sept. 11, 1974 in Marinette to Alfred and Lydia (Kessel) Bedwell, he lived in the area all of his life and graduated from Marinette High School. An outstanding high school athlete, he played varsity football and wrestled at the state level. He was a union worker in the construction industry and currently worked for Boldt Construction Co. on the new hospital project for Bay Area Medical Center.
He enjoyed music, operating his tractor and logging in the winter months, but mostly loved spending time on his rural property enjoying the outdoors, nature and the animals. He also loved being in Alaska to visit his brother, Matt, and family.
He is survived by his parents, Alfred and Lydia Bedwell of Porterfield; a brother, Matthew (Darla) Bedwell of Eagle River, Ak.; two nieces, Jourdin and Nicole; many aunts; uncles and cousins; his significant other, Jennifer Johnson and her children, Hydeia (Gage) Smith of Palatine, Ill., Hallie LaBombard of Silverdale, Wa. and Hunter LaBombard of Marinette.
Friends called at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home in Marinette on Saturday, July 15 from 9 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m.
