8th Annual Ride for Rescue at Crivitz Saturday, July 29th
Issue Date: July 26, 2017
Crivitz Rescue Squad (CRS) announces the 8th annual Ride for Rescue is Saturday, July 29. This 110 mile motorcycle excursion is an annual fundraiser that benefits CRS. All proceeds are earmarked for upgrading medical equipment.
Sponsors, Dan and Tim's Riverside Tavern and JC PowerSports, again offer their support. Registration begins at 10 am at Riverside Tavern, and the ride will leave at 11:30 am and returns to Riverside at 5 pm, after a full day of riding through Marinette and Oconto Counties.
Dinner will be provided to riders at the end of the trail. There will also be three stops on the route for leg stretching and thirst quenching. Cost for riders is $15 and passenger, $10.
Bikers are encouraged to participate in the "Down & Dirty Lifesaving Skills" being held outside under the tent. This is a quick tutorial on the vital A, B, Cs (Airway, Breathing and Circulation). There will be important but quick training for anyone interested in tourniquets, Heimlich maneuver and hands- only CPR. This quick training will be repeated during the afternoon, for the public, in conjunction with a CRS Beanbag Tournament at 1:00 p.m.
Raffle buckets sponsored by area businesses, professional sports teams and other supporters will be available for everyone to try their luck. There are many prizes along with a silent auction for a heavy duty fire ring from Badger Products. The public is encouraged to attend.
