Lois G. Steeno
Lois G. Steeno, age 89, of Niagara, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
Born Jan. 8, 1928, in Niagara, to the late Benjamin and Mildred (Erickson) Giguere, she grew up there and graduated from Niagara High School. She married Raymond Steeno on June 14, 1947, in Niagara and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2009. They lived in Niagara and wintered in Sun City, Az.
She worked as a secretary for Niagara High School, retiring after many years, was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Niagara and was past member of Oak Crest Golf Course, Norway, Mi. and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed bowling, golfing, skating, cards and having family and friends at their cottage in Spread Eagle and their camp on County O.
Survivors include three sons, Danny Steeno, Spread Eagle, Robert (Lisa) Steeno, Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. and Rick (Lynda) Steeno, Niagara; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-step-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Karen Giguere, Iron Mountain, Mi.; special friend, Fred Rhodes, Maryhill Manor and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ray, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Giguere and a daughter-in-law, Laura Steeno.
Visitation will be held at Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 12 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 4 p.m., with Pastor Henry Yoap officiating.
