THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Carol (Vande Hei) Conklin, 85, of Green Bay, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at an area hospital.
Born Sept. 30, 1931 in De Pere, to the late John and Velma (Stadler) Vande Hei, she graduated from St. Joseph Academy High School in 1949.
On April 7, 1951, she married James Conklin at St. Boniface Church in De Pere. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of over 66 years, James, Green Bay; three children, Timothy Conklin, Lena, Tom Conklin, Brookside and Cathy (Pat) Tilkens, Shawano; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Bill (Jean) Vande Hei and Dick (Mary) Vande Hei; a brother-in-law, Wayne Gerondale and a sister-in-law, Fern Vannieuhoven.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack and a sister-in-law, Jean Gerondale.
Per her wishes private family services were held. Simply Cremation of Green Bay assisted the family.
