Wausaukee Tree Farm To Host State Tour

The annual Wisconsin Christmas Tree Producers Association convention will be held in Green Bay Aug. 16-19 with a special farm tour on Saturday at North Countree Christmas Tree Farm, W6355 Trudgion Rd., Wausaukee.
Each year growers from the all over the state enter their trees in a contest with the winners advancing to a national competition. The overall winner then will present a tree to the White House. This year the National Convention will also be held in Green Bay Aug.16-19. Wisconsin presented the White House with Christmas trees in 1998, 2003, 2011, and 2016.
Wisconsin is the 5th highest producer of Christmas trees in the nation, yielding roughly 850,000 trees annually. North Countree Christmas, Inc. in Wausaukee ship snearly 40,000 trees per year. They will host a farm tour for both Wisconsin and National association members.
North Countree Christmas was established in 1990 with over 400 acres of Christmas trees.
