Margie J. Schneider, 92, of Marshfield, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 with family by her side at Three Oaks Health Service in Marshfield.
Born Aug. 5, 1925 in Iron River, Mi., to Edward and Gracie (Huff) Mitchell, she graduated from Iron River High School. She married David P. Schneider on Oct. 5, 1946 in Stambaugh, Mi. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2004.
She worked as a telephone operator for many years at Michigan Bell Telephone Company. Later, the couple owned and operated Dave's IGA in Iron River where she was the bookkeeper. In 1985, they moved to Marshfield where she was employed at Figi's, becoming a supervisor after a short time.
Always "on the go" and doing things for others, she also kept busy with crafts and hobbies. Dedicated and loved by her family, she had a strong faith that she passed on to her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Durocher of Marshfield, Peggy (Charles) Paul of Marquette, Mi. and Kathryn "Katie" (Richard) Myers of Marinette; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Stoychoff of Green Bay.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her her husband, David.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshfield on Thursday, Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 10 a.m. Rev. Jon Guenther will officiate with burial in Lakeview Cemetery in the Town of Alvin, Forest County. Rembs Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.
