Francis Raymond Daul, 80, of Lena, Ill., passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at FHN.
Born Feb. 3, 1937 in Luxemburg, to Anton and Evelyn Daul, he graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1955 and served in the United States National Guard from 1955 to 1961. He received a certificate in Dairy Management at UW-Madison and in 1962 attended WSU-Oshkosh, where he didn't receive a degree, but instead a wife of 48 years.
He married Barbara Schneider on Oct. 5, 1968 in Oshkosh and worked as a cheesemaker, cheese plant manager and dairy consultant. A member of Crossroads Community Church, the Knights of Columbus, and a past member of the Lena Lions Club and many dairy organizations, he enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, reading, technology, eating, watching the Packers and being a cheese aficionado.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; four children, Julie Amendt, Doug Daul (fiancee, Stefanie Corbett), Diana Jansen (Jeff) and Colleen Williamson (Glen); seven grandchildren; siblings, Margie Tlachac, Barbara DeNoble, Sharon Ettien, Brian Daul (fiancee, Cruz) and Debbie Heurkens (Randy).
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony and Donald Daul; a nephew, Jason Daul and two brothers-in-law, Alan "Roger" DeNoble and Eddie Tlachac.
Family and friends visited at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Luxemburg on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A Funeral Mass followed at 11 a.m. with Fr. Lukee officiating.
