Woman's Club View New Box for Books
Pound"The Pound Woman's Club began their Sept. 12th meeting with a pot luck supper at the home of Donna Salewski. Members first met at the Coleman Park to view their new book box for free adult and children's books. Heather Morstad and Paul Morstad painted and installed the box. This was a coordinated effort with the Coleman High School wood "s class and the Pound Woman's Club.
The 2017 Coleman High School scholarships were given to Nathan Woulf and Austin Hansen. Several members talked about their 90 minute scenic cruise on the Fox River on Sept. 6.
They decided not to serve and bake for the public at the Associated Bank due to lack of interest and volunteers. One scholarship will be given in the spring of 2018 to a qualified Coleman High School senior. Members looked over the club calendar for the year and the committee assignments. Jan Knaus was a guest and door prizes were won by Jan Sadowski and Susan Goddard.
The next meeting will be Oct. 10 at the home of Nancy Rosner with Diana Parish as co-hostess. Amy Sharkey will present a program on care of flowers and plants.
