Myrtle I. Pennington
Myrtle I. (Mattocks) Pennington, 92, of Porterfield, passed away Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017 at home.
Born April 17, 1925 in Jasper County, Ind., to the late Glen and Della Mae (Rowan) Mattocks, she married Marvin Pennington in 1925. She was a full time housewife and worked with her husband on the farm.
A member of Pentecostal Apostolic Church, she enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking, but especially time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Howard (Sally) of Many, La., David of Porterfield and Dean (Patti) of Peshtigo; three daughters, Patty (Chuck) Zander of Marinette, Nancy (Bob Lund) Bucholtz of Peshtigo and Della (Dominick) Cardella of Porterfield; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation took place at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Monday, Sept. 18 from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 4 p.m., with Pastor Dale Welch officiating.
