Marvin J. Chamberlain, 78, of Niagara, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
Born Oct. 14, 1938 in Niagara, to the late Andrew and Mary (Marcella) Chamberlain, he graduated from Niagara High School and worked for over 40 years for the City of Niagara.
A lifelong resident of Niagara, he knew everyone in town, always had a smile on his face, was an avid Niagara Badger supporter and attended many games throughout the years. In 2003, he was named Badger Booster of the year by the Niagara Athletic Booster Club. He rarely missed a home game and the kids appreciated the support over the many years. He was a great fan who always showed respect for players and demonstrated good sportsmanship.
He enjoyed following all sports teams and keeping up on their stats, especially the Packers and Chicago Cubs.
He is survived by a sister, Dolores Tarenski of Niagara; a sister-in-law Ethel Chamberlain of Wisconsin Rapids; many nieces and nephews and their families and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Chamberlain; a sister, LaVerne (LeRoy "Bud") Quick and a brother-in-law, Peter Tarenski.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in the Niagara Cemetery. Erickson Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain is assisting the family with arrangements.
