Lois Lucille Kostreva, 78, of Pound passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2017 at home with family by her side.
Born June 8, 1939, to the late Gust and Lucille (Graetz) Tachick, she graduated from Coleman High School in 1956 and married Russell Kostreva June 23, 1956 at Pound Assembly of God Church.
She was involved for over 50 years with the Goldhorn Homemakers and loved being in the Women's Ministry Program at Church. She enjoyed cooking, catering and spending time with family and friends.
A loving, caring wife, she loved her family and the Lord and shared her love in many ways with neighbors, her church and the community with her gift of hospitality. She was a hard worker, gave generously and had a good heart.
Surviving are husband of 61 years, Russell; four children, Mark (Melody), Randy (Sherry L.), Paul (Sherry A.) and Sara (Gary) Mertz; a sister, Beatrice Shevy; two brothers, Irvin (Caroline) Tachick and Marvin (Beverly) Tachick; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Kostreva in 2002 and a sister, Bernice Rakowski.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Hillside Assembly of God North, County Highway Q, Pound from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Paul Carlson officiating. Burial will be in First Baptist Cemetery in Pound. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Coleman is assisting the family with arrangements.
