Mark E. Swille
Mark E. Swille, 57, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 at home surrounded by family.
Born May 13, 1960 in Blue Island, Ill., to Willard and Joann (Leaveck) Swille, he married Patricia Mae Haulotte at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Stephenson, Mi. on on Aug. 11, 1979. He worked as the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds at Menominee County Courthouse, Dunlap Square Apartments and Menards. He loved his gardens, which showed in his beautiful yard.
He enjoyed family trips, his Mini Cooper, camping and "Wednesday Lunches with the guys". A good cook, he loved family gatherings and did anything he could to get them together. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patty of Menominee; his mother, Joann Swille of Stephenson; two daughters, Amanda (Paul) Love of Gwinn, Mi. and Miranda (Ryan) DeLaurelle of Menominee; two grandchildren and baby DeLaurelle adoption to come in January; four brothers, Clint (Pam), Kevin (Kim) and Todd, all of Stephenson and Keith (Cindy) of Nadeau, Mi. and nieces and nephews.
His father, Willard preceded him in death.
Visitation will take place at Anderson Kell Funeral Home in Menominee on Thursday, Sept. 28 from 3:30 p.m. until time of a Vigil Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m., with Deacon Steve Gretzinger presiding. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:35 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Menominee on Friday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m., with Fr. Brad Sjoquist officiating. Burial will follow in Mellen Township Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established and any expressions of sympathy can be directed to Patty Swille.
