Elaine M. Osmanski, 88, of Green Bay, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 with family at her side after a courageous journey with Alzheimer's.
Born Dec. 23, 1928 in Green Bay, to the late Stanley and Winifred (Walker) Charneski, she attended Cathedral Grade School and graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1946.
While growing up, she worked for the family grocery store, Charneski Grocery and was also a bookkeeper for Gabe's T.V. and Appliance. On Jan. 4, 1958, she married Frank Osmanski at St. Willebrord Catholic Church in Green Bay.
They enjoyed fishing, traveling, and time at the family cottage on the bay. A member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Lady Elks Auxiliary, she was involved with the Antiques Study Club and her special "Club" friends.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Frank Osmanski; her sister's children, Patti Golueke, Karen (Jim) Seaman, Ann (Tom) Hermsen, Mary Golueke, Ellen (Kurt) Wilkinson and Paul (Becky) Golueke and their families; Frank's nieces and nephews; many cousins and two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Stadler and Millie Meger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol (James) Golueke; her in-laws, Frank and Bernadine Osmanski; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marion (Al) Krzewina, Mike Meger, Richard Osmanski, Jimmy (Shirley) Osmanski and Theresa (William) Pucel.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., Green Bay on Friday, Sept. 29 from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony Cirignani OFM will officiate with burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. A memorial is being established. Proko Wall Funeral Home of Green Bay is assisting the family with arrangements.
