Ralph F. Beyer
Ralph F. Beyer, 90, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Jan. 10, 1927 in Menominee, to the late Fredrick and Martha (Jaasch) Beyer, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1945 and enlisted in the United States Marines. He married Arline Runke on Sept. 9, 1950 at Trinity Evangelical Church in Marinette and she preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 2005.
He worked at Lloyd Flanders and then Badger Paper Mill for over 30 years until retiring in 1992. He loved time with his family and enjoyed gardening, woodworking and his camp on the river. A member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Menominee, he also belonged to the American Legion and the Badger Paper Men's Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Daryl) Faucett of Little Chute; two sons, Rodney of New Berlin and Rodger (Gretchen) of Stevens Point; a brother, Floyd (Lois) Beyer of Marinette; two sisters-in-law, Vi Taylor of Menominee and Marlene Runke of California; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church on Monday Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. Pastor Paul Cole will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Menominee American Legion are appreciated. Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements.
