Wausaukee"The Village of Wausaukee 9th Annual Fall Festival is Saturday, Oct. 7th. The Wausaukee High School thank the staff and students who decorated the streets with corn stalks, pumpkins and scarecrows.
The festivities will be held from 9 am to 3 pm on Main Street/Highway 141 with over 100 crafters/vendors lining the street. There will be live music by Next Myle, sponsored by Stephenson National Bank & Trust. Free face painting, by the Art Students of Wausaukee is sponsored by Great North Bank and free horse drawn wagon rides will also be an addition to the fun. A scavenger hunt with prizes is planned this year and lots of food, refreshments, bake sales and business specials will be available.
Helicopter rides will be available from UP North Helicopters of Menominee for anyone who would like to get an aerial view of the fall colors. Businesses are also getting decked out for the event and will participate in a decorating contest, with the winner receiving getting their name on the traveling trophy.
