John "Sonny" Wontor, Jr., 76, of Amberg, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 at Florence Health Services.
Born Feb. 6, 1941 in Hammond, In., to John and Jeannette (Mikolajczyk) Wontor, his family owned and operated Jeannette's Lounge on the South Side of Chicago in the 50's and 60's. In 1970 they moved to Amberg and began Hog and Cattle Farming.
He enjoyed blue gill fishing, visiting a special friend, Kelly and time at the Casino.
He is survived by a special cousin, Betty Ann (Frank) Bradtke and many other relatives and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry.
A graveside service was held at the Amberg Cemetery on Wednesday Oct. 11 at 9 a.m., with Fr. Don Burkart officiating. Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee assisted the family with arrangements.
