Woman's Club Lists Monetary Donations
Pound"The Pound Woman's Club held their Oct. 10th meeting at the home of Nancy Rosner with Diana Parish as co-hostess. Amy Sharkey of Sharkey Floral, Crivitz gave a program on proper care of plants. She stressed proper watering, appropriate containers, and fertilization of the soil.She had been named floral designer of the year for the state of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. The Sharkeys had also been named retail florist of the year for Wisconsin. She also answered many questions about flowers and plants.
During the meeting, members voted to give their yearly monetary donations to the Coleman Rescue Squad, Pound Fire Department, Coleman Area Library, Environmental Center, and the books for the 4K Reading program.
The Nov. 14 meeting will be held at the Coleman Rescue Squad building with a program on self-defense. The Christmas party with guests will be Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Romy's Holiday Inn, Kelly Lake.
