Audrey A. Carriveau
Audrey A. (Frye) Carriveau, 79, of Stiles, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 13, 2017 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Born Dec. 11, 1937 in rural Lena, to Ernest and Mayme (Kafka) Frye, Sr., as a child she moved with her family out of state because of her father's sawmill occupation. They returned to the Lena area where she attended country school and graduated from Lena High School in 1954. She was proud of her perfect school attendance and attended UW-LaCrosse.
On Jan. 21, 1956, she married Roger Carriveau at St. Charles Catholic Church in Lena and they lived in the Stiles area where she worked as a cook for Oconto Falls Public Schools for 15 years. A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed crocheting and caring and cooking for her family.
Survivors include four children, Michael (Stephanie) Carriveau, Arvada, Co. and Jeffrey (Patti) Carriveau, Sue (Brian Snow) Vandenbush and Penny Hujet, all of Stiles; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two brothers, Ernest (Karen) Frye Jr., Florida and James (Carol) Frye, Lena; a brother-in-law, Ronald Hessler, Fond du lac and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger in 2014; a son, Larry; two grandchildren, Joey Koebach and Grace Hujet and a sister, Dolores Hessler.
Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, Oct. 19 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Joel Sember will officiate with burial in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Lena.
