Floyd V. Gayon
Floyd V. Gayon, 76, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017.
Born July 22, 1941 in Bagley, Mi., to the late Adolph and Dorothy (Lance) Gayon, he married the former Kathleen Corey in Palestine, Mi. on July 16, 1960. He worked as a cost accountant for Ansul Company and retired from Coleman Machine.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, cutting firewood, boating with the kids and just being with the guys, but most important was his family. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Kathy of Menominee; a daughter, Lynn (David) Zorn of Marinette; two sons, Perry of Marinette and Peter (Bridget) of Menominee; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Donna); five sisters, Darlene (Jack) Thielke, Carolyn (Elden) Bowers, Jean Gayon, Connie (Gilbert) Anderson and Kathy (Garth) Newlin and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Raymond.
Family will receive friends at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee on Friday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Pastor Mark Laatsch will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Anderson Kell Funeral Home of Menominee is assisting the family with arrangements.
