Tom Frewerd, 75, of Oconto, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Aug. 22, 1942 in Oconto, to Clarence and May Rose Frewerd, he served in the United States Marine Corps. On June 25, 1965, he married Ginny and they enjoyed 52 years together.
He had an enthusiastic life either hauling freight to Denver, Co., assisting with the cannon in City Park, restoring the homestead on the South Shore or guiding his boat, "Fantasia" through turbulent waters of Green Bay, often saying "I see the light. We're almost safe at home".
He loved time with family and friends and was the host at family gatherings. He also liked exercising his dog "Baron" while riding his bike.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny; a son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Lacy Frewerd; a brother, Karl Frewerd; a sister, Janice Thompson and many nieces; nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto on Friday Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
