Oradell (Sturlaugson) Lindblad, 84, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at the Luther Home.
Born Sept. 24, 1933, to the late Stephen and Eleanor (Faulkner) Sturlaugson in Langdon, N.D., she graduated from Madison East High School in 1951 and attended Stenography Schooling. She worked as a secretary at Emmanuel Lutheran Church for over 20 years. She married Tom Lindblad and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Good Life Singers at Emmanuel, Sweet Adeline's, Menominee River Chorus, Riverside Four, Wisconsin Women's Bowling Association and BAMC Auxiliary for many years, where she was a past president. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing bridge and singing.
She is survived by a son, Gary (Tracie) Pomrenke; two daughters, Sharon Wilcox and Lori Forton; a brother, William (Nancy) Sturlaugson; a sister, Mozelle Sturlaugson; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Tom, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Schinderle and a brother, Tom Sturlaugson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home in Menominee. Visitation will continue on Friday, Oct. 27 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. until time of a funeral service at noon, with Pastor Mark Laatch officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
