Crivitz Post 2063 Meet Next on Nov. 13
The Crivitz Memorial Auxiliary Post 2063 met on Oct. 9 and was brought to order by Nora Swanson at 7 p.m. at the Crivitz Legion Hall. Six members and one guest were present. Two new people may be joining the Auxiliary.
Linda Moran was present and did the inspection of the unit and roll call was taken. Carol Reichardt opened with prayer and LaVerne Lundberg read a patriotic theme and the Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and general orders and other communication included theme for membership is "Just Recruit One".
Moran presented the Auxiliary with an award for achieving 104.5 percent membership from District 8. Treasurer's report was provided and filed.
A bill was paid to Lundberg to reimburse her for expenses for the Harvest Fest booth. Members made a motion to make donations to both the needy children fund and women veterans programs at the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center.
During new business, discussion was on Patriots Pen and Voice of Democracy. Members motioned to make donations to both scholarships.
Members are needed to work at the brat fry on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Club House. Those attending should bring a dish to pass. Next meeting there will be discussion on distribution of Christmas baskets to veterans.
Moran gave Auxiliary certificates to those participating in Voice of Democracy and Patriot's Pen, and to veterans and military support programs. Nine awards were presented.
