THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Charles "Chuck" Holland, 69, of Porterfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 with family by his side.
Born April 27, 1948, to the late Raymond and Violet Holland, he attended Loomis Grade School and Wrightstown High School. He was a truck driver for 30 years and worked for Town of Lake for 10 years.
On Jan. 24, 1997 he married the love of his life, Carol and they lived in Porterfield. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, four wheeling and buying and selling antiques, but mostly time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Jim Vanadestine and Harry Fleischfresser; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Donna (Fred) Holton and six half-brothers and half-sisters.
The family greeted relatives and friends at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. until time of the service at 11 a.m., with Pastor David Pleuss officiating.
