Luella (Servais) Schreader, 99, of Town of Montpelier, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at the Atrium of Kewaunee Nursing Home with family at her side.
Born May 23, 1918 in Green Bay, to the late Joseph and Johanna (Vanden Huevel) Servais, she married Hilton Schreader Sr. on Nov. 19, 1938 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 1977. She worked for many years at Leyse Aluminum Co. in Kewaunee and Mirro Aluminum Co. in Two Rivers.
A lifelong member of St. Joseph/St. John's Church in Pilsen, now St. Therese Parish and a member of the St. Joseph/St. John's Altar Rosary Society, she also belonged to the Polish American Legion Auxiliary of Eaton and the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Bellevue for over 30 years.
She volunteered at Brown County Mental Health facility until she was 97 years old.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, William and Brenda Schreader, Jacksonville, Fla. and Hilton Schreader, Montpelier; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Judy and Marvin Sr. Dorn, Luxemburg, Gloria and Earl Peterson, Algoma, Margaret Theys, Green Bay and Suzanne and Kevin Geimer, Pound; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Elaine Gezella and a sister-in-law, Marge Servais, both of Green Bay.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Schreader; an infant daughter, Mary; two sisters, Marie (Clifford) Moore and Bernice (Henry) Nitka; a brother, Robert Servais; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at St. Joseph/St. John Church in Pilsen on Friday, Nov. 17 from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., officiated by Fr. Dennis Drury and assisted by Christal Wavrunek. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Krok, followed by a funeral lunch.
