Sharon Elizabeth (Peterson) Heitkemper, 68, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette.
Born Feb. 16, 1949 in Menominee, to the late Ralph and Damia (Heider) Peterson, she married Gene Paul Heitkemper in Milwaukee on July 29, 1967 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2004. She worked as a site supervisor for Leinike Security for 16 years, retiring in 2011.
A fun loving, warm, generous person, when her eyebrow went up or she was wearing her uniform, she meant business. She always had a warm meal for visitors, loved driving fast in her Crown Victoria and cherished her grandchildren, helping to raise them.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle (Amir) Lewis of Marinette and Paula Francour of Menominee; three grandchildren; a brother, Ralph "Eddie" Peterson of Menominee and a sister, Laurie (Alan) Smith.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Steve Francour and a sister-in- law, Suzanne Peterson.
Family received friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson, Mi. on Friday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Pastor Andrew Stonina officiated followed by burial in Birch Creek Cemetery.
