Dorothy Marion (Beyer) Perkins, 94, of Marinette, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at Rennes Health Center-West in Peshtigo, where she resided for the past couple of months.
Born Feb. 4, 1923 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Arthur and Aurora (Holappa) Beye, she graduated from Menominee High School in 1942 and married Donald Perkins on Sept. 16, 1943. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was a caregiver to others, always putting their needs above her own. She worked as a CNA at the Luther Home from 1967 to 1993.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (David) Callow of Menominee and Kay (Larry) Wenzel of West Bend; a son, David (Penny) Perkins of Marinette; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Carol (Leonard) Bassen of Menominee and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Callow; three sisters, Mildred Behrens, Myrtle Varvil and Ruth Rewolinski and two brothers, Roy and Clifford Beyer.
Family and friends called at Bethel Lutheran Church on Tuesday, Nov. 14, from noon until time of a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m., with Rev. Scott Ehle and Rev. Bill Beyer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee with a graveside service at a later date. A memorial fund has been established. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette assisted the family with arrangements.
