Charles P. Sindberg, 96, known as "Charlie," passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017.
Born in Elcho and raised in the "Near North" area of Wisconsin, he spent his adult years in the Milwaukee area, many in West Allis where he and his wife, Jan raised their children. For over 45 years, he worked for Petrolane Gas Service in West Allis before retiring in 1982.
In 1983, they moved to Crivitz where they enjoyed their golden years. He will be remembered for his quick wit and stories of adventures in Wisconsin and the East Coast. He could fix anything for anyone.
He is survived by three children, Mike (Anne), Carol (Norm) Fellenz and Diana (Mark) Galaszewski; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jan; a brother, Marty (Mary) Fabiszak; two sisters, Rosemary (Al) Basak and Agnes (Wayne) Herder; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Janice and two sons, Jim and John.
Visitation with a Celebration of Life will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1121 S. 116th St., West Allis on Friday, Nov. 24 from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Memorial donations are appreciated to The American Heart Association. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home of Crivitz is assisting the family with arrangements.
