Donald Lewandowski, 78, of Peshtigo, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017.
Born Dec. 9, 1939 in Milwaukee, to the late Walter and Lucille Lewandowski,
he received an honorary diploma from Pulaski High School and served in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer in Aviation and was a Vietnam Veteran. While in service, he received many achievement awards and developed a love for traveling.
On June 3, 1965, he married Caroline Antoinette Pierce and they had one child, Ayn Lewandowski on Dec. 9, 1965. He also raised four step-children.
He loved practical jokes and enjoyed collecting coins, stamps, records, garage saling, thrift-store hunting and selling his finds. He sometimes was a stubborn man, but helped anyone in need.
He is survived by a daughter, Ayn; two grandchildren and two siblings, Robert and Jean.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Virgil and Jesse.
