John E. Pardee, 64, of Marinette, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 at home with family surrounding him after battling cancer for years.
Born May 9, 1953, to the late Curtis and Margaret (Konyn) Pardee in Kansas City, Ks., he graduated from Redford High School in Detroit and attended Oakland Community College Motor Tech in Farmington, Mi. On Nov. 4, 1972, he married Beverly Leitzke in Peshtigo and they moved to Marinette in 1973. He worked at KUS for over 30 years.
A hands-on man, he belonged to the Jaycees, was a member of Holy Family Parish, loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He liked telling the stories of hunting events to others.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverly; a son, Tony (Lisa) Pardee of Peshtigo; two daughters, Tina (Tony) Alexander of Countryside, Ill. and Teresa Reed of Green Bay; a brother, Stewart "Skip" (Veronica) Pardee; four sisters, Carol Barthelemy, Mary Ellen (John) Overgaard, Marcia (Jim) Reimer and Barbara (Jack) Kahrnoff and six grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Thielen Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 27 from 5 p.m. until time of the Vigil Prayer Service at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass was held at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Celestine Byekwaso officiating. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery.
