Carl Walter Greene passed away on December 4, 2017.
An enthusiastic pilot and educator, Carl was born in Racine on June 25, 1949. His fascination with flight led him to receive his pilot's license at the age of 17, which became a cherished lifelong craft.
Throughout his life, Carl was an active member of many groups including; the Boy Scouts, EAA UL Chapter 75, the Municipal Judge Association and the District 4 Mason Lodge: Tri County Daylite #218.
Carl was a devoted member of Boy Scout Troop 217 where he achieved his Eagle Scout rank and became a member of the Order of the Arrow. He later served as the Troop 217 Leader and worked at SC Johnson.
Carl received his Masters of Education Degree and was a passionate science teacher for twenty-eight years at Wausaukee High School where he coached the Scott Hi-Q team.
He enjoyed being an EAA Chairman, the Secretary of the Wisconsin Ultralight/Light Aviation Counsel (WULAC) and officiating weddings while serving as Judge. Above all, Carl was a devoted family-man and friend.
He loved to travel at any given opportunity and treasured the sporting events, concerts, competitions, plays, and social gatherings of his children and grandchildren. Carl was a generous man, always willing to lend a hand.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara; 1 Daughter, Christa (David) Keller; 2 sons, Carl S. (Breanna) and Curtis (Elizabeth) Greene; Grandchildren, Paityn and Dawson Keller and anticipating the new arrival from Curtis and Elizabeth; 1 brother, Paul (Kathy) Greene; Mother-in-law, Cora Dykstra and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Milton and Elizabeth Greene.
To the man of many hats and all the right answers, you will be missed dearly by all of your family, friends, and students. Soar freely; We love you.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Faith Presbyterian Church in Crivitz on Thursday, December 14th from 1 " 3 pm. The service will be at 3pm with Pastor Marcy officiating.
