Donald C. Reiter, 88, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday. Dec. 5, 2017.
Born May 29, 1929 in Menominee, to the late Clarence and Edna (St. Onge) Reiter, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1948. On Sept. 5, 1953, he married Kathleen Wuellner at Epiphany Catholic Church in Menominee. He worked for over 30 years for the US Postal Service in Menominee until retiring in 1986.
A member of the Menominee American Legion, he enjoyed the outdoors, golfing and the Packers.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kay; a son, Kevin; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernice Fernstrum and Joyce Currie and a daughter-in-law, Christine Reiter.
Visitation will take place at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home in Menominee on Tuesday, Dec. 26 from 3:30 p.m. until time of a Vigil Prayer Service at 5 p.m., with Fr. Brad Sjoquist presiding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Resurrection Church at 11 a.m., with Fr. Sjoquist presiding. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Menominee.
