Donald F. Loberger, 93, Oconto Falls, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 5, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Oconto Falls.
Born Sept. 13, 1924 in the Town of Oconto Falls, to Frank and Florence (Eastman) Loberger, he was raised there where he attended Catholic Grade School and graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1942. At the same time, he received a notice of induction into the Military and served in the United States Army during World War II.
On May 12, 1945, he married Lorraine Poquette at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls where they lived all of their life. He worked for Scott Paper Co. in Oconto Falls before running the family farm for 50 years.
A member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, he sang in the church choir for 20 years and was an active member in Oconto Falls American Legion Post #302.
Survivors are his two children, Patricia (Dave) Lindsten, Oconto and Jerome Loberger, North Chase; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Carla) Loberger, Green Bay; a sister, Judy Rugg, Green Bay and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine in 2013; three brothers, Harlan, Harold and Franklin Loberger; four sisters, infant Joan, LaVerne Bukowski, Delores Jaeger-Black and Barbara Jarowski and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Loberger.
Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 8 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4-7 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation continued at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 11 a.m. until the funeral procession left for the church at 12:30 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Joel Sember officiated with burial and full military honors in the Church Cemetery.
