James "Jim" Bins, 66, of Lena, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 surrounded by family, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Green Bay, to the late Orville and Mickey (Robenhorst) Bins, he was an adventurer and had a passion for hunting and fishing, being known as "One Shot Jim" and "Rambo."
He enjoyed music, playing trumpet and guitar in the family band, skeet, trap shooting and being in nature. A proud father and grandfather, he loved his family, had a zest and excitement for life and will be missed.
He is survived by his children, Bobbi Bins, daughter of Sue Bins, Jared Bins and Anna Bins, children of Sandy Barnick; a granddaughter; four siblings, Tom Bins, Nancy (Jerry) Melotte and Rob (Cathy) Bins, all from Green Bay and Gary Bins, Crivitz; many nieces; nephews; other family members and friends.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Proko Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay on Friday, Dec. 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a sharing of memories. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
