Thunder Score 34 Goals In Four Victory Weekend

The M&M Thunder hockey team hosted Marquette/ Negaunee's U16 team and Ontonagon over the weekend, defeating each team twice and outscoring them by a total of 34-6 over the course of the weekend.
In the team's first game Saturday, they defeated Marquette/Negaunee 7-1. The Thunder got two goals each from Cole Jersey and Aidan Bohaczek, with Jersey also providing an assist. Cade Fernstrum, Adam Wahl and Brandon Bruning also scored for the Thunder. Wahl provided a hat trick of assists. Nick Kehoe, Jason Bruning and Matthew Swenson had assists as well. Goaltender Braeden Park saved 14 of the 15 shots he saw.
The Thunder followed up with another strong showing, defeating the out-matched U16 side by a score of 10-0. This time, Wahl got both a hat trick of goals and a hat trick of assists, stamping his name on six of the 10 goals scored by the Thunder.
That wasn't more than Jersey, though, as Jersey scored once and provided his teammates with assists on six separate occasions.
Fernstrum scored twice and added an assist, Jason Bruning, Jason Bowers, Aidan Bohaczek and Jacob Pantti all scored, with Panti assisting as well. Adam Mejdoub had two assists, while Swenson and Jason Walk each tallied assists. Park had the same save totals as the game previous, stopping 14 of 15 shots.
Things were just as good for the Thunder on Sunday, as they beat Ontonagon 9-2 and 8-2. Wahl was solid once again, adding three goals in the first game and an assist. Jersey scored twice and assisted twice, Jason Bruning and Aidan Bohaczek each had a goal and two assists and Wesley Knutson scored a goal.
The Thunder also got assists from Justin Netemeyer, Fernstrum and Swenson. Park saved 15 of 17 shots.
The Thunder spread the goals around in their final game, beating Ontonagon 8-2 with seven different shooters finding the back of the net. Jason Bowers got two goals, while Fernstrum, Jersey, Jeremiah Philipps, Knutson, Wahl and Bohaczek each scored once.
Netemeyer had two assists, as did Wahl. Jersey, Knutson, Swenson, Bohaczek, Brandon Bruning and Jason Bruning each had an assist.
In the four games, Wahl had 17 points, while Fernstrum had 12.
