Coleman School Board to Consider Resolutions

Coleman-The Coleman regular school board meeting is Monday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Board Room.
The agenda includes president's welcome/meeting called to order, roll call, consent items of agenda and minutes and vouchers payable.
District spotlight includes CPR kit donation from Bellin, and ACP presentation followed by comments from the public. The two principal's and superintendent Doug Polomis will give their reports.
Discussion will include resolution language and 2016-17 high school course description book.
Matters requiring action are resolution authorizing issuance of general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $10,850,000, and initial resolution authorizing issuance of general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $1,980,000. Resolution providing for a referendum election on the questions of the approval of two initial resolutions authorizing issuance of general obligation bonds in an aggregate amount not to exceed $13,830,000.
Also open enrollment parameters for regular education, and for special education, donation from George and Carol Laitinen, other donations and hirings and resignations.
Communication plan will be aired followed by items, time and place of next meeting with AGR goals, 2018 summer school, policy updates/committee meet and approve 18-19 HS course description booklet on Feb.19 in the Board Room.
A closed session will consider administrative review and 2018-19 staffing. The Board will resume to open session with the possibility of action as permitted by State Statute.
