THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Maryln Virgili-Poltrock-Schmitz passed away, Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nv. at the home of her daughter after a long battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 17, 1940, to Candy and Ernest Virgili in Kenosha, she graduated from Bradford High School and married Donald Poltrock and they had four children.
After her husband passed away from cancer, she and the children moved to Amberg where she worked in the School System, Wellinton Ski Factory and Piggly Wiggly. She was active in the Womens American Legion Post #476 Auxiliary and Bunny Peplinski's paint classes.
She met Ernest Schmit in 2003 and they married in 2004 in Hawaii. They loved camping and fishing. After his passing, she moved to Las Vegas, Nv., with her daughter Jamie and Johnny Torres.
She is survived by a daughter, Jamie (Johnny Torres); a son, Kevin (Judy) Poltrock and six grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Don and Ernest and two daughters, Susie and Margie.
