Nancy Ann (Janofski) Benson, 59, of Carney, Mi., passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 surrounded by family.
Born Sept. 18, 1958 in Menominee, Mi., to Fred and Arlene (DeGrave) Janofski, she worked as a Department Manager for the Department of Mental Health for 37 years.
She enjoyed riding motorcycles, campfires, time in her garden, following her children's sporting events, coaching basketball and playing in the Mid County Softball League with her children, but mostly, time spent with family, children and grandchildren is what she cherished. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church.
Survivors include three children, Tara (Chris) Hernandez of Green Bay, Carly (Victor) Harrington of Marquette, Mi. and Jared (Danielle) Benson of Marinette; her father, Fred Janofski of Wilson, Mi.; six grandchildren; her boyfriend, Michael Linder and his two children; three sisters, Donna (Len) Skrobiak of Bark River, Mi., Karen (Mike) Bagladi of Belding, Mi. and Chris (Jeff) Stage of Nadeau, Mi. and three brothers, Fred Jr. (Annette) Janofski of Scotts, Mi., Roger Janofski of Wilson and John (Kelly) Janofski of Carney.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Janofski and an infant sister, Diane.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Thursday, Feb. 1 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m. at St. Bruno Catholic Church, with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. Burial will be in Nadeau Township Cemetery in the Spring. A memorial fund has been established and any expressions can be directed to Tara Hernandez.
