Michael R. Alfredson
Michael R. Alfredson, 60, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at Aurora Baycare in Green Bay.
Born Nov. 19, 1957 in Marinette, to the late Soren and Carol (Behnke) Alfredson, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1975 and earned a BA from Michigan Tech in Civil Engineering. He worked at Champion Construction in Iron Mountain, Mid State Steel as construction manager for the Don Hudson Center and later at Alfredson Brothers Construction where he became part owner.
An avid Packer fan, he enjoyed waterskiing, snow skiing, being part of the Downhill Nation Ski Patrol, building and going to hunting camp and spending time with family. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and former Elks Club member.
He is survived by a brother, Greg (Michele) Alfredson and a sister, Nancy Alfredson, both of Menominee; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Joe) Vos, Melinda (Chris) Clausen, Brent (friend, Lacey) Alfredson and Bryan (friend, Amanda) Alfredson; great- nieces and nephews, Katherine and Henry Vos, Edward Clausen and Emma and Jack Williams.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation was held at Bethel Lutheran Church in Menominee on Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 6 p.m. Rev. Scott Ehle officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home of Menominee assisted the family with arrangements.
