Timothy W. Cox, 69, of Marinette, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at his home.
Born Oct. 17, 1948 in Marinette, to Arthur D. and Dorothy (Anderson) Cox, he spent his early life here and graduated from Marinette High School in 1966. He then graduated from Michigan Technological University and worked as a manufacturing and quality engineer for several companies in Illinois.
He lived in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago from 1970 until retiring in 2013 when he returned to Marinette. He was previously married to Mary Cox of Illinois.
He volunteered for Boy Scouts of America as a scout leader for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, spending time at the family cabin in northern Marinette County and genealogy and historical research.
He is survived by a son, Patrick (Amanda) Cox of Gurnee, Ill.; two grandchildren; a brother, James (Jean) Cox of Larsen and Jimmye Cox of Marinette.
