Karen E. Bechtold
Mrs. Karen E. (Plong) Bechtold, 62, of Canton, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
A former area resident, she was a teacher at Oconto Falls High School and taught anatomy and physiology at the UW-Center.
She then moved to Georgia with her family where she taught at Cherokee High School in Canton. She was an excellent teacher who influenced a lot of young minds.
She enjoyed swimming, drawing pictures and loved her dog, Rosie, but mostly time with family.
Survivors include her husband, Paul J. Bechtold; a daughter, Kimberley A. Bechtold and a brother, John Plong.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Francis Plong.
Family received friends at Sosebee Memorial Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 from noon until time of Memorial Services at 2 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home, with Deacon Charlie officiating. She was cremated.
