Lorraine T. Saltz
Lorraine T. (Duffrin) Saltz, 88, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.
Born July 17, 1929 in Stephenson, Mi., to the late George and Albina (Wery) Duffrin, she married Edward Saltz on June 25, 1949 at Precious Blood Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2018. She farmed alongside her husband, raised her family and worked part time at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening and volunteering for the Farm Bureau, Cancer and Red Cross drives and her Church. A member of St. Frederick's Catholic Church until it's closing, she then belonged to Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son, Marvin (Mary) Saltz of Kingsford, Mi.; a daughter, Sally (Tim) Eldridge of Michigamme, Mi.; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Lawrence (Fern) Duffrin of Carson City, Nv.; a sister, Jeanette Robison of Spalding, Mi.; an uncle, Ervin Wery of Stephenson and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Wednesday Feb. 14 from 4 p.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m., with Fr. Ronald Timock officiating. Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery in the Spring.
