Dorothy S. (Weisenborn) Zoellner, 95, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Luther Home.
Born June 13, 1922 in Waupaca, to Wallace Weisenborn and Pearl (Rasmussen) Weisenborn, she moved to Marinette with her family at a young age and lived here since. She graduated from Marinette High School in 1940 and in her early years, she worked at the former Boreal Mfg. Co. in Marinette.
On May 14, 1945, she married Leonard G. Zoellner at St. James Lutheran Church. For many years, they belonged to a square dance club.
She also attended Marinette Vocational School and worked as a bookkeeper at Luther Home, from where she retired. A longtime member of St. James Lutheran Church, she was active in the Woman's Circle for many years.
Her family came first and she enjoyed time with children, reading and listening to music.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Mike) Combes of Marinette and Debbie (Jerry) Menacher of Menominee; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Wallace (Shirley) Weisenborn and James Weisenborn and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; two sisters-in-law, Charlotte (Robert) Malmberg and Marge (Jim) Weisenborn and a nephew.
Friends may call at Luther Home Chapel in Marinette on Friday, March 9 from 11 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home of Marinette is assisting the family with arrangements.
