Dorothy A (Grondine) Simonic, 92, of Torrington, Ct., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
Born July 25, 1925 in Spaulding Township, Mi., to the late Mary (Charles) and Samuel Grondine, she was married to the late John Simonic for 65 years. She moved from the Menominee area to Connecticut in 2007 to be closer to family.
She was active in Church and Community activities in Michigan, especially 4H and was a member of The DAV Auxilary.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Simonic of Colorado Spring, Co. and Mark (Lenda) Simonic of Fort Walton Fla., two daughters, Mary (Scott) Leslie of Carbondale, Co. and Jeanne Bodett of Torrington; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial at at Saint Francis Church in Torrington on Monday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Memorials can be made to Visiting Nurse Assoc. Northwest, 607 Bantam Rd. Unit F, Bantam, Ct. 06750. Phalen Funeral Home of Torrington assisted the family with arrangements.
