Dale A. Fayta, 77, of Wallace, Mi., passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Born Dec. 23, 1940 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Joseph and Harriet (Rasner) Fayta, he married the former Rosemary Skovinski on May 27, 1967 in Wallace, Mi. He owned and operated Dale's Maytag Home Appliance Center in Menominee for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, dartball, gardening, especially his tomato plants and following his children and grandchildren in sports. A people person, he liked visiting with friends and family. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and Menominee Ingallston Fire Department for 28 years.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Rosemary of Wallace; two sons, Kevin (Patti) of Wallace and Dan (Jenny) of Marinette; three grandchildren; a sister, Connie (Tom) Raboine of Menominee; two brothers, Lee (Sally) of Menominee and Curt of Bear Creek and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon.
Family received friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Monday, March 12 from 4 p.m. until time of a Fire Department walk through at 7 p.m., follwed by a Prayer Service. Visitation continued on Tuesday, March 13 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Greenwoods from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Paul Micheel officiating. Burial will be in Mellen Township Cemetery in the Spring.
