Robert F. Pecor
Issue Date: March 16, 2018
Robert F. "Bob" Pecor, 69, of Oconto passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
Born June 6, 1948, in Oconto, to Donald and Annie (Wenzel) Pecor, he
graduated from Oconto High School in 1966 and attended Technical College in Fond du Lac. He worked as a papermaker with Georgia Pacific (formerly Fort Howard & Fort James) for the last 17 years.
On Nov. 30, 1968, he married Nancy Haynes at St. Peter's Church in Oconto. They traveled together, served Christ and raised and fostered children of different countries, ethnicities and backgrounds, but mostly cherished their time together.
He enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, four wheeling, his animals and being outdoors, but especially loved going to the cabin and visiting with family and friends. A proud father, he enjoyed attending events in support of his family, including bowling, cheerleading, soccer, football, concerts, grandparent's day, birthdays or holidays and was there front and center. He had many friends and formed new friendships through doctor's appointments or dialysis.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; four children Miguel (Rosie) de la Rosa, Ryan Pecor (special friend, Tracy Schneider), Mario (Teresa) Feliz and Kristin (Matt) Lindgren; seven grandchildren; first cousin, who's like a sister, Emmy (Richard) Lorenz and many other relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Pecor; his in-laws, Homer and Alma Haynes and uncle and aunt, Edmond and Elaine Phillips.
A Celebration of Life was held Tuesday, March 13 at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto with visitation from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Oconto at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joel Sember officiating.
