Vernon E. Siech, 87, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018.
Born Dec. 12, 1930 in Gillett, to the late Henry and Nora (Moede) Siech, he married Carol Wiskow on Oct. 12, 1957 at Immanuel Lutheran in Gillett. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
In 1996, he retired from Packerland Packaging after 34 years. He served as an elder and an usher for over 50 years at Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
In their early years they enjoyed bowling, fishing and the outdoors, but mostly his faith and family time was important to him, especially time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol; three children, Kim (Paul) Guns, Kyle (Rose) Siech and Carrie (John) Brosig; seven grandchildren; four siblings, Lillian Pasek, Martha Makos, Hertha Rickert and Henry (Ruby) Siech; two sisters-in-law, Marian Siech and Shirley Siech; three brothers-in-law, Dean (Mary) Wiskow, Dennis Wiskow and Marlin Wiskow and many other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Linda, Selma, Margaret, Norma, Elda, Ora Mae, Gay, Marvin, Arnold and Wally.
Visitation will be at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St. on Thursday, March 22 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. David Hatch will officiate with entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Proko Wall Funeral Home of Green Bay is assisting the family with arrangements.
