Christine J. Zynda
Issue Date: March 29, 2018
Christine (Cookie) J. (Walton) Zynda, 66, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
She grew up in Downers Grove, Ill. and worked at Busy Bee Bakery during her school years, which resulted in her making the wedding cake for her marriage to Dean Zynda on Jan. 10, 1970.
As a mother of three rascally children, the family moved to Wisconsin where, like her mother, she had a large garden. Gardening brought her to the love of natural therapies and organic nutrition, which led to a thriving business.
She owned many businesses in her lifetime, including Cleaning Biz, a consignment gift shop for area crafters, served as a real estate agent and lastly an alternative therapies clinic in Marinette of nearly a dozen part-time therapists with varying specialties.
She spent her retired years locally with her friend, William Knuth, Jr.
She is survived by her mother; a sister; two brothers; two nieces; a nephew; three children; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many friends and colleagues that loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father Dale Walton.
Both private and public honorary services were held on Sunday, March 25 at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo.
