Paul W. Van Acker, 49, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Nov. 23, 1968 in Menominee, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1987. He worked at Waupaca Foundry and enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, hunting and his dogs.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Van Acker of Green Bay and a sister, Laura (Kevin) LaLuzerne, both of Green Bay; two nieces, Anna and Grace; his significant other, Barbara Payne; special children, Jeremy and Joey Bertrand, Kristin Jagielski, Kaila (Bill Haines) Jagielski, Kyle (Bailey Cahill) Adams, Brittany (Tyler) Riopelle and Kendra (Dane Kelly) Adams; his special girls, who called him "Grandpa Gummy", Mia Riopelle, Kinnley Kelly and Kora Haines.
Along with his father, Clyde, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Van Acker and a special child, Jessica Bertrand.
Visitation was held at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Monday, April 2 from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 1 p.m. Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiated with burial in Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. A memorial fund has been established.
