Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary Meets

The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary met on Monday, April 9 at 9 AM in the Silver Cliff Town Hall. The meeting was called to order by President Barb Van Boxtel followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and Roll Call. New member, Michelle Zeske was introduced. The Secretary's, Treasurer's and Standing Committee reports were given.
Scholarship applications are being accepted from high school seniors, who are residents of Silver Cliff. Applications are available from high school counselors and Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary scholarship committee and officers. Completed applications, along with a copy of the letter of acceptance from the school students plan to attend in 2018, should be sent to Mary Wright N11630 Parkway Road, Silver Cliff, WI 54104. Applications are due by May 1.
The majority of the meeting was spent preparing for the 41st annual Parade and Picnic to be held on Aug. 11. Nominations for the Parade Grand Marshal(s) were made and will be voted for at the next meeting. Committee chairpersons were assigned and responsibilities discussed.
The next meeting will be held on May 9 at 10 AM in the Silver Cliff Town Hall. The meeting will be followed by a salad and dessert luncheon, hosted by Sue Vandenberg. Ladies who are full and part time residents of the Silver Cliff area are invited to attend the meeting and encouraged to join the Auxiliary.
