Coleman Students Earn Music, Choir Awards

Coleman-On April 7th students from Coleman Middle and High School band and choir competed in Solo and Ensemble Festival in Lena. Students who received honors are listed:
Receiving a 1st in Class "C" were Shyonna Demmith, Matthew Stapleford, Lexus Baars, Katelyn Marquardt, Tayler Rosner, Evan Szabo, Justin Borchert, and Hannah Soletske.
A second in Class "C" went to Brea Hart and Marixsa Vasquez duet, Hannah Soletske and Lea Payette duet, Lillian Murley, Adam Fonder, Ashley Charapata, Mackenzie Carlson, John Schindler, Stephanie Vasquez, Alissa Fendryk, Mackenzie Truckey, and LillyAnn Fendryk.
Earning a 1st in Class B was Coral Ermis for both a trio and a solo, and a 2nd in Class "B" went to Marixsa Vasquez.
Receiving 3rds were Halley Thielman, Kaitlyn Nowak, and Courtney Den Ruyter Class C Flute Trio; 2nds to Katelyn Marquardt Class C Flute Duet, Madison Sikora & Azllyn Van Drisse Class C Trombone/Baritone Duet.
Receiving 1st was Kamron Kostrova Class B Trumpet Solo.
High School participants and their ratings were:
Receiving a 1st in Class "C": Mackenzie Champagne and Gabrielle Meyer for their trio; Receiving a 2nd in Class "B" Bryan Soule, Alexis Rudolph and Samantha Timm, duet; Receiving a 1st in Class "B" Trinity Franzen, Mackenzie Champagne and Gabrielle Meyer, duet; Receiving a 2nd in Class "A" Kasha Franzen; Receiving a 1st in Class "A" were Samantha Timm, Gabrielle Meyer; Receiving a *1st (star first) and headed to State are Abigail Marquardt and Mackenzie Champagne.
Adelyn Salewski got a 2nd for alto sax solo; and Abigail Marquardt a first for a flute solo.
